Project
About the project
When IRM built their own North Melbourne head office, the brief was simple: deliver it to the same standard they hold every client project to. The result is one of the most material-rich fitouts in their portfolio, requiring IRM's in-house joinery and construction teams to work across an unusually broad palette — verde marble, walnut timber veneer, polished terrazzo, Crittall-framed glazing and teal carpet — and integrate each element without any of it feeling forced or disjointed.
The execution is what makes it work. Bespoke arched joinery alcoves were crafted and installed in-house, the verde marble was carried from the reception desk through to the feature walls and kitchen benchtop as a continuous thread, and every transition between materials was resolved with the same level of care. The space stands as a direct expression of what IRM is capable of building.
