The Junction (Swinburne University)

Housed within a heritage building on Swinburne University's campus, The Junction Student Hub required both careful conservation and contemporary transformation in equal measure. A full de-fit was completed before new services were installed throughout, covering communications, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire, AV and security.

IRM constructed a new elevator lift with pit and steel structure, installed new roofing and structural steel, and brought existing stairwells up to current code. Interior works included raked ceilings, operable walls, joinery and meeting booths. Existing stained-glass panels were carefully refit into new timber windows, and a full exterior refurbishment completed the project.
