Joe Scardamaglia has over 30 years’ experience in the building and construction industry, bringing strong leadership, technical knowledge and hands-on delivery expertise to every IRM project.

A registered Commercial Builder Unlimited with qualifications in Architecture and Project Management, Joe specialises in leading project teams, implementing effective management systems and value engineering construction outcomes without compromising quality.

Joe has extensive experience across university and education projects, with IRM recognised on the Swinburne and Victoria University works panels and regularly engaged by leading Victorian education providers.

Stefan Scardamaglia joined IRM in 2011 after graduating from RMIT and has since developed extensive experience delivering complex and specialised commercial projects.

A VBA-registered Commercial Builder with a Diploma of Building and Construction, Stefan works closely with clients, designers, project teams and stakeholders to manage delivery from programming and procurement through to occupancy.

With strong communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Stefan is focused on seamless project delivery, high-quality outcomes and long-term client relationships.

Adrian Scardamaglia joined IRM in 2005 and brings extensive experience in the management and delivery of commercial office interior projects.

With a Bachelor of Building and Construction, Adrian oversees programming, cost planning, procurement, coordination and overall project delivery, ensuring works are completed to a high standard and within budget.

Known for his strong client and contractor relationships, Adrian takes a hands-on approach to project leadership, regularly managing works on site to maintain quality, control and delivery certainty.

Peter Thompson has been with IRM since 1997 and brings over 25 years’ experience in construction management, supported by a strong trade background as a qualified carpenter.

As Construction Manager, Peter supports project teams through pre-construction programming, construction methodology and on-site delivery, helping ensure projects are delivered accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.

Recognised for his technical knowledge, practical problem-solving and strong communication, Peter plays a key role in coordinating trades, refining construction systems and achieving high-quality finishes across IRM projects.

Yen isan experienced Pre-Construction Manager responsible for coordinating projectsfrom planning through to construction commencement. She works closely withclients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are wellplanned, cost-effective and ready for delivery.

Her responsibilities include procurement,tender management, project planning, programme coordination, risk assessment,contract administration and value engineering to support successful projectoutcomes.

With strong organisational andcommunication skills, Yen ensures a seamless transition from pre-constructionto delivery. Her attention to detail, proactive approach and commitment toquality make her a valuable asset to the IRM team and the projects she manages.

Peter De Fazio brings over 30 years’ experience in architectural joinery, metal fabrication and CNC programming, with expertise across in-house manufacturing and installation.

He oversees site measurement, detailing, fabrication and installation, ensuring IRM’s in-house joinery and metalwork is accurately produced, coordinated and delivered to the highest standard.

With strong technical knowledge and close attention to design intent, Peter ensures finished works are precise, seamless and aligned with project requirements.

With over 20 years at IRM, Julie is a highly valued and trusted member of the team. As Finance Manager, she oversees the company's accounts, payments, invoicing, and financial administration, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Her dedication, attention to detail, and wealth of experience provide the financial foundation that supports IRM's projects, clients, and day-to-day operations. Julie works closely with the management team, clients, and suppliers to maintain strong financial processes and ensure efficient, timely administration across every project.
