Fermentation and Biology Labs

This project comprised a comprehensive renovation of the existing laboratories, including a complete strip-out and corrective refurbishment of the X6 laboratory benchtops with a 2-pack sprayed finish.

To ensure optimal functionality and efficiency, new services were installed, including natural gas, medical gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, instrument air, and carbon dioxide, in addition to body-protected power, lighting control, mechanical, hydraulic, and data systems.

The project also involved the installation of Oxygen Monitoring Systems, Fume and Corrosive cupboards, and Biosafety cabinets to support laboratory safety requirements. The Fermentation and Biology labs were airtight-sealed as per the PC2 Laboratory regulations. The flooring was replaced with new resilient vinyl, and custom in-house built 2-pack sprayed architectural joinery was installed to complete the project.
